Controlling humidity throughout the entire home is essential for comfort, reducing health risks, and protecting the structure of the home and its contents. Excess moisture can cause damage to wood floors, furniture, artwork, electronics, and even the overall structure of the home. It can also provide a breeding ground for cockroaches, termites, other damaging pests, and mold. As building codes drive us to build tighter homes in order to reduce energy consumption, we are seeing a greater need for supplemental dehumidification to ensure proper humidity control.
